Subject: KFlop JP7 IO - pull ups
Hi,

I'm making a small pcb to connect my kflop to my cnc machine which is currently driven by an ncstudio controller. I have a 15 pin cable which will go into this board.

I had a couple questions on how to connect some things to JP7.

Are there pull ups on any of the IO on this port? I'm putting pull ups on the open collector outputs of my photocouplers. I'd leave them out if the kflop has some already.

And regarding limits, can any pin that is unused on JP7 be used for limits? I saw that in the manual there is a recommendation to put limits on bits 12 - 19. It's not entirely possible for me since I'm using some of those for the stepper motors and the others aren't on JP7.

Cheers

Hi Ronny,

No there are no pull ups.

Yes those are just recommendations. Any input can be used for limits.

Excellent, thanks for the quick reply. I can't wait to see what this board can do.

Cheers
